The Elite Academy has been extremely successful in Derbyshire in 2007. We now are hosting a Yorkshire Elite Academy at Headingley Carnegie Staduim in Leeds. The Academy provides cricket coaching for children aged 12 to 16 years old, who possess an exceptional talent for cricket, are eager to develop their skills further and aspire to becoming first class cricketers. We would anticipate that young people coming on this course will have already played some form of representative cricket e.g Lords Taverners, Yorkshire/Derbyshire Schools.
This Yorkshire Elite Academy is held at the Headingley Cricket Centre and the Deryshire Elite Academy at Trent College in Long Eaton.

The Elite Academy will consider all aspects of the game including areas such as diet and nutrition, fitness, psychology as well as looking to develop cricket skills.

The Academy will train 10 times from October to February. The Yorkshire Elite Academy will train for two hours every friday evening from 7pm to 9pm and the Derbyshire Elite Academy will train for two and a half hours on sunday afternoons.

Coaches such as Kevin Sharp, Anthony McGrath, Mathew Wood, Tim Bresnan, Grame Welsh, Steve Stubbings are amongst those who are going to run master classes during the winter months.

The participants will train just like the professionals and they will be coached by professionals - if your child aims to become a first class cricketer then this is the academy to attend - intensive cricket coaching.

A high point of the Academy is a winter indoor cricket tournament against other academies throughput the country.

The Academy will also be viewed at regular intervals by Yorkshire’s Academy Director and Cricket Operations Director Ian Dews.

The Academy seeks to emulate the professionals and participants will be issued with training kits and tracksuits.

This course will run on friday evenings starting at 7pm and runs to 9pm for children aged 11 to 16.

The dates of the academy training sessions are:-

October 31st
November 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th
December 5th and 12th
January 9th, 16th and 23rd.

at Trent College, Long Eaton, Derbyshire

The course will run on Sunday afternoons. Children aged u12 will train from 1pm to 3.30pm and children aged u16 will train from 3.30pm to 6pm.

The course dates are:-

October 19th and 26th
November 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th
December 7th, 14th and 21st.
